Shoes for a Cause Networking Fundraiser
Join MAFE for an evening of fun, networking and, of course, shoes at our Shoes for a Cause Networking Fundraiser to support entrepreneurship education for teen girls in Detroit through our YES initiative.
Young Entrepreneurs Series (YES) is an educational program that provides entrepreneurship and business training for disadvantaged girls in Detroit. Join us at Sole Sisters in Royal Oak to learn more about this initiative and how you can get involved.
Have fun while making a difference! Enjoy shopping, complimentary cheese and wine, and networking with fellow women entrepreneurs and business professionals. MAFE is launching a Leadership Circle, a leadership development program whose mission is to construct a pathway that enables women entrepreneurs to move their companies to the next stage of development.
Developed in partnership with 50/50 Leadership, Leadership Circle is an opportunity to hone your leadership skills and learn new ones. “Leadership” has mostly been defined by men. Through Leadership Circle, we will add our voice to the definition of leadership.

18TH WASME International Conference on SMEs
Empowering Women through Entrepreneurship: Issues, Opportunities, and Approaches
Accra, Ghana ~ July 25-29, 2012
Organized by the World Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) and hosted by the Ghana Association of Women Entrepreneurs, the WASME International Conference on SMEs aims to enhance awareness and create a more informed understanding on the opportunities, issues and approaches of women empowerment with resultant attention and resources directed towards supporting women entrepreneurs.
This Trailblazer event will have 10 plenary sections and 20 workshops and an exhibition of products made by women from 30 African counties as well as from Asia, Europe and the U.S.
The WASME International Conference on SMEs will bring together an exclusive group of 400 thought leaders, women entrepreneurs and women in business, investors, development practitioners, media practitioners and social entrepreneurs around the globe to explore approaches, share perspectives and best practices in building bridges and creating linkages.
